Though I haven’t been as prolific as I’d like, I still think of myself as a director more than anything.
Here’s the most recent thing I directed, a video for my song “Beach Cats”
This is an animated short I directed a year or so back. I also do one of the voices and wrote the original script… this was something we’d hoped to use as a springboard into some sort of web series, but it never happened unfortunately.
I made this spec commercial a couple years back because I had a free camera rental. The song and premise are better than the final execution, which is my fault because I don’t really know how to do graphics in Final Cut all that well.
I wrote directed this episode of the web series Computer Lab a few years ago at Soup 2 Nuts. It was a cool series, originally based on my experiences working at the Tisch Film Sound Desk. It starred Todd Barry, Larry Murphy and Chelsea Peretti… all very, very talented folks.
